Welcome to my blog! :)
First of all, I want to say thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. As you can see, this blog is centered about lesbian films. I'm a lesbian myself and I actually have a girlfriend. But the problem is I'm still in the closet. Only a few of my close trusted friends know about this, because I'm afraid of being discriminated.
Some of you may say that this is already the 21st century and we, lesbians, have nothing to be afraid of anymore. I do agree. However, I don't want to lose my loved ones, and I'm afraid that that's what will happen if I come out. They may force me and my girlfriend to break up and even worse force me to go out and date a guy!
Now, that's something that I don't want at all. I know that our loved ones should accept us for who we are since they love us. But sometimes, they are also the hardest to please. And they can be the most ignorant of all. I figured that this is the best way for now - to live in the closet.
By the way, I'm only 18 and I live in a conservative Christian country, which makes this even harder for me and my girlfriend. Now, my girlfriend's parents LOVE me. But they don't know I'm dating their daughter! They just think I'm her very best friend. I usually sleep over at her house. Little do they know, what really goes on in her room. *Evil laugh*
So, I guess the reason why I started this blog is to have an outlet. I really really love watching lesbian films. And anything and everything to do with being gay. I've also read a few lesbian novels and some coming-out stories. I guess the next step would be to join forums. Right now, I'm still afraid to show the world my true colors, this blog is actually my first attempt to make my "alternative" identity out. I really hope that this helps me feel more comfortable in my own skin.
